Pre-Installed Cable-in-Conduit – Superior Protection and Streamlined Installation
Allwire’s pre-installed cable-in-conduit solutions eliminate the risk of many frustrating and potentially costly installation issues. Using durable yet flexible prewired conduit, there’s no need for manual installation. That makes the job much faster, easier, and more reliable: for many applications, it’s a simple cut-to-length affair.
- Less installation issues and errors, less risk of cable damage.
Our prewired conduit systems also take up less space during both transportation and storage, while the durable prewired construction prevents cable damage during and prior to installation. From start to finish, we provide commercial and municipal installers with the quality conduit products they need to get the job done as quickly and cost-effectively as possible.
What Is Pre-Installed Cable-in-Conduit (CIC)?
Pre-installed cable-in-conduit (CIC) is an innovative installation concept embraced by Allwire. We can supply virtually any type of cable in a flexible, polyethylene duct system ranging in size from 1/2” to 4” nominal conduit size. The duct system is extruded around the cable in long continuous lengths and put up on reels prior to final testing and shipment.
Offering our customers added peace of mind, Allwire warrants the entire CIC system when supplying the cable, excluding installation.
What are the advantages?
- Streamlined Installation – Skip the time-consuming and labor-intensive step of pulling cable on-site. With our pre-installed cable, crews simply trench and lay the conduit, saving time and reducing project costs.
- Improved Job Site Efficiency – Minimize downtime and labor risks. Prewired CIC simplifies logistics and reduces the number of steps and personnel needed in the field.
- Superior Protection and Longevity – The cable is factory-installed into high-durability conduit, protecting it from moisture, abrasion, and environmental wear from the start.
- Custom Configurations – Allwire provides a wide range of CIC options with various cable types, conduit sizes, and wall thicknesses to match your project needs. We also offer color striping, sequential footage markings.
- Faster Turnaround – Our advanced manufacturing process and nationwide distribution network ensure fast lead times and just-in-time delivery to meet demanding project schedules.
- Proven Quality – Manufactured under strict quality controls, Allwire CIC products meet or exceed all industry standards, giving you confidence in every installation.

Durable HDPE Material Options
Our CIC duct is normally supplied using black high density polyethylene (HDPE). Learn more about the advantages of HDPE conduit in our technical article: Why HDPE Conduit is the Best Choice for Underground Cable Installations.
Other sunlight resistant adders and colors are available and can be supplied upon request. The compound can be extruded in different wall thicknesses depending on the demands of the installation technique and soil conditions involved. Each configuration has its advantages – reach out to the Allwire experts to discuss your specific application requirements.
